This is a hand forged straight razor. It is made from 1095 high carbon steel. It has a Buffalo horn handle with a brass pivot pin. The blade is hollow ground to give a sharp edge. During the heat treat it is not tempered, but left hardened to hold a very sharp edge for a long time.
